Northeast Region Royal Rangers

Chris grew up involved in Boy Scouts attaining Life Scout in 1973 when he had the opportunity to combine the scouting experience with his love of sailing by joining a newly developed Sea Scout ship. These experiences set Chris on a course of leadership and developing presentation skills, having given his first public address about scouting at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast when he was just 12 years old.

Chris began to attend Christian Assembly Church in Pittsfield, MA after accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior in 1984. It was here that Chris had his first exposure to Royal Rangers, serving as the AST Commander for one year in 1984. It would be another ten years before he would become fully committed to the Royal Ranger ministry when asked to help lead the Trail Rangers at Outpost 39 in 1994. Chris went on to serve ten years as the Outpost Sr. Commander and has served as a Deputy Sectional Commander, Sectional Commander, Junior Camps Coordinator, District Training Coordinator, and Assistant District Commander before serving as the District Director of Southern New England in 2008. Chris then relocated to Pennsylvania in 2012 where he has served with Outpost 19 in Spring City, PA. He continues to serve as the JLDA Coordinator and Communications Coordinator for the PennDel district.

Chris is a graduate of the Royal Rangers Academy and has served as a staff member for National Training events including National Rangers Ministry Camp (NRMC), National Elementary Education Camp (NEEC), and World Class Outpost (WCO). He also worked with the teams developing and writing curriculum for the Junior Leadership Development Academy as well as the Expedition Ranger Leadership merits.

Chris has a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration, and Interdisciplinary Studied from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

He is very active in his church,Spring Valley Community Church in North Conventry, PA, where he serves as the Financial Director. He has been married to Cindie for 37 years and they have a son who is a GMA recipient, a daughter, and four grandchildren who cal him “Papa”.
